In 1998, chef Dan Blumenthal, along with partner, Jeff Good, opened BROAD STREET BAKING COMPANY AND CAFÉ as a tribute to Dan's baker grandfather Sol Blumenthal and the legacy he left behind.

Everything you see in our cases — every pastry, every loaf of bread, every dessert, every cookie — was made by hand, by our staff, right here at our bakery in Jackson, Mississippi.

We hope to take you back to a time and place where generation after generation of artisan bakers created breads from scratch, following old-world recipes, with their own two hands.

Oh wait, but not too far back in time since we still have some of the best wi-fi in Jackson and the most electrical outlets of any place we know. Broad Street is the perfect spot for networking, breakfast, lunch and after work meetings, office breaks, remote working, lunch with girlfriends or an after-school fix. If you're looking for an excuse, we can probably find you one...
