Goranson Farm 4.24

Goranson Farm is owned and operated by Jan Goranson, Rob Johanson, and their sons Carl and Goran, with superhuman help from their dedicated farm crew. Jan's father and mother, Everett and Geneva, had farmed high-quality potatoes on this land since the 1960's, and their parents were farmers in northern Aroostook County. For the last 30 years, Jan and Rob have worked to maintain this unique family farm and preserve the irreplaceable open space along Merrymeeting Bay. All year round, we are lucky to provide the healthiest, freshest produce possible to our market and wholesale customers, informed stewardship to over 100 acres of land, and full-time employment in our rural town. By keeping some of the best agricultural land in Maine growing MOFGA-certified organic vegetables and strawberries, cut flowers, maple syrup, pork, and poultry, everyone in the community benefits.
